Project Details
Our works on this project comprised cutting the existing H shaped building in two and removing the central core and a number of columns, followed by strengthening of the structural steel frame to facilitate construction of a further two floors of glazed office space. Where necessary, existing corroded steel was either replaced or strengthened, and coated in a two part protective paint system.
The building has retained three enhanced retail spaces and the seven floors of office space have been completed to CAT A standard. Two lifts have been installed, as well as a reshaped central stair core and communal facilities.
This project was awarded a Gold award in 2008 and 2009 by the City of London Considerate Contractors Scheme in their Annual Code of Practice Awards Ceremonies.
