This contract was won in competitive tender. Following the tender process, we were involved in extensive negotiations in order to achieve value-engineered cost savings. The project consisted of the construction of a new multi-storey car park in the heart of Glasgow with retail premises to the ground and first floors. The structure comprised of a steel frame with in-situ concrete floor slabs and spiral access ramp on piled foundations, predominantly clad with terracotta ‘baguette’ rainscreen cladding.
